Fix this please!!!!!!!

Edit: fixed. Thank you so much!! Please fix my buddy’s face!!! after I complete the three quests, the snout on my buddy moves downward and blocks the second tooth and most of the mouth. It looks weird and I would really appreciate it if someone could please check this out!! As soon as this bug is fixed, this app gets the 5 stars it deserves!

Great mental health tool

I used to use this app all the time and recently started back up. It’s a simple, cute, and fun way to track moods and learn about yourself. I was sad to find out they will no longer be updating the app but glad to know I can still use it!

One of the best Apps Ever

Thoughtful and helpful

I’ve had this app for years now and honestly I do not use it very much. But when I do, it is full of helpful guides, knowledge, and care. Even when I’m really down, my lil buddy manages to put a smile on my face. It’s a great app that has an easy-to-use interface and a welcoming aspect, and it is full of helpful tools and truths/facts that clearly shows the creators behind this know what they are doing. Thank you guys.

This app helps me so much

Great for depression and procrastination imo. The app helps me do small and simple things to get out of my bad states. I’ve actually just finished a book that I postponed to read months ago. So I really appreciate it and the developers who created this app.

So I’ve had this on my phone for years and it’s really helped, but I finally got to level 99 and I’ve been looking forward to it for a while, because I wanted to buy the little crown. But on my new phone I can’t scroll far enough down to hit the purchase button. It’s covered up by the menu bar. Anyone know if there is a way?

I love it

I never rly write reviews for apps, but I rly liked this one so I thought I should. This app has helped me so much, lately I have been having a lot more suicidal thoughts and this app made me feel a lot better. I would definitely recommend it.

Great app!

It’s a fantastic app but it really has to be updated! There should be more creatures, more tasks, more things you can buy for the creatures etc. I’ve had the app on and off for quite some time now and there hasn’t been any updates.

Amazing!

I’ve been using Booster Buddy for over 4 years now, and this new update is fantastic! I really want to thank the developers for this amazing app. It’s gotten me out of some dark times just knowing the Flitz is waiting for me, even if no one else is.

Notifications don’t work

This app is really good with motivation and helping to feed you ideas on what to do when you complete check in. However, notifications have NEVER worked for me when I set them up for appointments or to do events. It’s really annoying cause it feels like it makes the reminder setting pointless.

This app actually works!

Okay it looks like an app for four year olds. This is not a high powered todo app. BUT- I’ve been using it every day for over a month now and it’s amazing. The actions it has you do every day are actually useful things to adults, and it’s a really great way of tracking my baseline functioning. (For example, I have a hard time remembering to make lunch and dinner some days, so those are events in my calendar). Would absolutely recommend!

The Best

This app is the best app for managing a mental illness, urges to self harm and suicidal feelings. When you’re overwhelmed, even the smallest task or self care activity takes tremendous energy and effort. The developers understand this. The app gives you a choice of very small tasks to do that help get you out of that terrible downward spiral of depression and self loathing. It is also excellent at helping you stay physically safe. I am going through an extremely stressful situation right now and this app has made my life bearable. Although it says it’s for young people, there is no reason why older adults can’t use it. I’m a 55 year old woman. Developers, thank you so much for caring about people like us and creating such a wonderful app that is FREE!! I downloaded other apps like this but was asked to pay to be able to use all the features, and they’re not even as good as this app is!

Review

BoosterBuddy provides a fun user experience that also gave sound advice about self-care rooted in evidence-based theories. The app provided a space for self expression via the avatar and validation and positive e feedback from completing the daily quests. Medication and mood logs gave helpful information back to the adolescent to reflect on. The app lost points because of lack of accessibility and a privacy policy which did not allow for a user is and password for security. However, with improvements to privacy and accesibilitY, BoosterBuddy could be the app that gives adolescents a space to monitor their mental health and improve self care on their own terms.

Perfect to keep on keeping on

Ive had this app for a couple of years and it always helps me reflect and readjust how I can solve whatever I’m facing on a particular day. The buddies and rewards and the goals are really nice. I guess my only question is what is the function of the pin in the upper left hand corner? Nonetheless the app does its job to help you throughout the day.

Creates a small space for me to be happy

I get overwhelmed at the amount of things I need to do, but this app helps me focus on and take credit for even the smallest of steps - because more often than not, those small steps build up enough momentum to take even larger ones. Wish I could design more cute characters for this app, but otherwise it’s a wonderful resource I recommend to those who need some direction and encouragement ~

Super helpful, few suggestions!

I love this app, and my therapist definitely approved of it and loved the idea. Help is so easily accessible since we usually have our phones on us at all times. I love the crisis mode, thay could save so many people. The “buddies” are so cute and I love doing the tasks to help wake them up! My favorite feature is where you choose what’s wrong and there’s many of options on how to help or cope with the emotions you’re feeling. My suggestion is also make a negative self talk tab. Lot’s of the time I’m down because of self confidence issues and it’s be helpful to include tips on how to feel better about myself. I also wish for a tab on help with eating disorders. I hope you guys take these suggestions into mind. Thank you for helping me through many hard days!

Really helpful

I don’t usually write reviews but I feel obligated to do so for Booster Buddy. I’ve been only using it for a few days but I can see a positive difference within myself. There are many self-help guides which are very much helpful for managing my anxiety. I’m usually on the internet a lot but I haven’t come across half the coping strategies that Booster Buddy has! It almost seems ridiculous how much I love my buddy, but having someone to motivate you without any fear of stigmas or misunderstandings is really encouraging. This app can also track your medications and remind you to take them, and you can add items to your calendar to help you feel motivated. I really am grateful to the developers of this app! :)

Revolutionized my mental health.

Having an animated buddy hold you accountable is a lot more helpful than I'd expected at first. Through this app I've learned to be kinder, more patient, and more understanding to/with myself. I know more about myself and my symptoms; I know many more coping strategies and am able to locate them and remember them if I need. The app reminds me to take my medicine every day and I love that you can add your own calendar events to customize the app. The daily tasks to wake up the buddy are so helpful too; they remind me to slow down and take stock of my life before I go about my day. I think that, while the app may be aimed at younger folks, it is incredibly helpful for people of all ages. I'm far beyond a teen and I love this app and recommend it to the people in my life who may need it. Thank you.

Ive shown this to all my friends who struggle like I do. Slowly but surely I am getting more motivation to do things. To anyone reading this, if you have anxiety or depression, or even just struggle to get through every day, please get this app! So worth it

The best mental health app

Where do I even start? It encourages you to improve without punishing you if you don’t succeed. The buddy (I chose the fox) always has something sweet to say on a bad day. The quests are great whether I choose ones that cause me to push myself or if I go with the easy ones. The calendar function is simple but useful. This app is literally the best mental health app I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a lot!

Incredibly useful

This app was a gift from someone important to me and I didn’t know how useful it would be but it is very effective at giving me a purpose and pushing me but also letting me have space when I need it with the,” give me another quest,” option. The only thing I feel like this is missing is a few more checkin buttons. They mention them in the symptom selection, and I get manically high moods very rarely but I would LOVE an option that says, “I’m really emotionally high and I’m taking risks and am irritable,” or something because, “good,” isn’t really accurate to look back on. Also a few more customization options wouldn’t go amiss, maybe one or two more per level but that’s a nitpick. Great work all in all and I recommend this app!

Can't live without this app

This is the best app in the world (and the only one I've ever liked enough to review)- so helpful for panic attacks and anxiety in general. I use it everyday and love that you can check in multiple times a day now. All the different activities and library full of coping methods are so helpful. I love the progressive muscle relaxation one.

Useful app!

The content in this app is very helpful. It provides a lot of coping strategies that you can use. But It would be better if there were features that accommodate disabilities (eg. read aloud to you when you touch the text, etc). Also having more option for the buddies might be fun.

any chance you could add a feature where you can talk things out and explain your daily feelings with the app and have actual conversations? i know it might be a little far, but some people don't have close friends or relatives to talk to and adding this feature would help immensely. other then that, amazing app. thank you for helping me cope.

Helpful little guy

You do get a sense of responsibility to your avatar and that's cool. I like the encouragement you get when you wake him up. The outfit idea is ok but I wish there was more you could get with the coins like backgrounds or something. This along with other apps have really kept me afloat lately!

Used to enjoy

This app used to be helpful in planning my day, but none of the tasks now available to me after the latest update are relevant. I much preferred the app before this update.

I recommend this to everyone

I've dealt with mental health issues most of my life. I heard about this app on YouTube I can't remember from who but I decided to give it a shot and I've had it ever since. My sister actually is a therapist and was looking for a way to be able to help her clients track their moods. I told her to give this app a shot and if you were client stating it's now The most popular app in the entire center she works that. This app does wonders

Slightly sexist

This app is really insanely great and wonderful but there are two really frustrating shortcomings: 1. Each day the buddy gives you a quote, and I've never once received a quote from a woman. 2. The app is set so you check in when you wake up. How do I know what my mood is then? Why would I check in in the morning? And why would I only check in once per day? (I usually save it for afternoons or evenings, which are harder for me, so it feels incongruous to have the buddy say 'your day is off to a great start!' at around 6 pm or so

Incredibly helpful!

I've had this app for about 6 months now, and it's been extremely helpful, even just for keeping track of important things i need to do. It's very inclusive and clearly designed to accommodate anyone and everyone. I'd highly recommend it for anyone with any degree of initiation/motivation or mental health issues.

Love this app but here are suggestions for game developers

So far this has been a pretty good app when I remember to use it. It's really helped me stay active and present in my day to day life. Suggestions: Have a wake up alarm. At the beginning of the day when it askes you how you're doing have the option of notes that you can add to as the day progresses. Be able to fully utilize the coping methods. As in for the "build a routine" add it to the day/month list to check off as you're doing it. I've only used this app for a couple days but I've really liked it so far and these suggestions are just what might help me personally in my day to day life.

hoping for future features to add onto this great app!

ive been using BB for a week and its a great central location to track to do, events, and all meds throughout the day. its also a cute and fun way to "check" those to dos. im hoping that in the future the check in will be able to be done throughout the day. like today started off so good but by the end i was struggling hard, yet i can only check in once. maybe twice a day would be better? thank u for this app

Very Good

I haven't had this app for too long, but I enjoy it. It really feels like a little friend when I need it. My favorite thing is the fact that you can save tips as your favorites. I can have easy access to the things I need to remember. And the tips themselves are short and clear, making them easy to use whenever you need them. The medication reminders are also helpful. Some things I would like to see in the future are tips for intrusive thoughts/obsessive compulsions (I don't think I saw any at least) and more variety in the daily mood rating. I don't feel like three mood levels is enough.

Helpful and Fun--Needs a few adjustments

Such a great app, with helpful motivators and tools, but as others have said it does need a few tweaks. You can make a to-do list each day to help keep yourself on track, but there's no way to make a recurring event--you have to manually enter it every day. The other major sticking point for me is the check-ins. You can check in once per day, and the mood options are limited. Sometimes none of the options really describe where I'm at, and sometimes I'm one place when I check in, but over the course of the day that changes and I want to be able to track that.
